Industry standards

TI works actively to advance industry standards that improve semiconductor quality. We collaborate on regulatory standards, as well as U.S. and international voluntary standards through ongoing membership and participation on a variety of standards development committees and in industry associations, including:

Organization
Description
American National Standards Institute?(ANSI) Non-profit organization administers and coordinates the U.S. voluntary standardization and conformity assessment system.
Automotive Electronics Council (AEC) Component Technical Committee Establishes standards for reliable, high quality electronic components. Components meeting AEC specs are suitable for use in harsh automotive environments without additional component-level qualification testing.
Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA) Partnership of electronic and high-tech associations and companies works to promote market development and competitiveness of U.S. industry through domestic and international policy efforts.
Electrostatic Discharge Association?(ESDA) Professional voluntary association dedicated to advancing electrostatic discharge (ESD) avoidance theory and practice.
International Electrotechnical Commission?(IEC) Global organization prepares and publishes international standards for all electrical, electronic and related technologies.
Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, Inc?(IEEE) Non-profit, technical professional association and leading authority in a wide range of technical areas.
Institute for Printed Circuits (IPC) United States-based trade association dedicated to furthering the competitive excellence and financial success of its members worldwide, who are participants in the electronic interconnect industry.
Joint Electron Device Engineering Council?(JEDEC) The semiconductor engineering standardization body of the Electronic Industries Alliance (see above).
Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association?(JEITA) Industry organization in Japan with activities related to the electronic and information technology (IT) fields.
National Electronic Distributors Association (NEDA) Not-for-profit trade association represents companies involved in the supplier-authorized distribution of electronic components and parts, computer and computer peripheral components, and test, measurement and control equipment and their manufacturer-suppliers.
National Electronics Manufacturing Initiative (NEMI) Industry-led consortium drives global leadership of the North American electronics manufacturing supply chain.
Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology?(SEMATECH) Industry association cooperatively sets global industry direction and accelerates technology solutions in infrastructure, lithography, materials, and manufacturing.
